MD · Board-Certified Cardiologist and Integrative Medicine Physician, Mount Sinai

Anuradha (Anu) Lala-Trindade (Lala), MD, is a widely recognized cardiologist, Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a leader in women’s cardiometabolic health and integrative cardiovascular care. At the Carolyn Rowan Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Mount Sinai, she focuses on helping women navigate the profound cardiometabolic changes of midlife with the goal of optimizing healthspan and preventing cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Lala’s approach brings together rigorous, evidence-based medicine with the principles of integrative and whole-person care. Her work explores how traditional cardiovascular risk factors intersect with hormonal transitions, metabolism, sleep, movement, nutrition, emotional well-being, stress, and the mind-body connection. She is completing advanced fellowship training in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and
has a particular interest in how mindfulness and spiritual well-being can complement—not replace—evidence-based cardiovascular prevention.

An internationally recognized academic cardiologist, Dr. Lala is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiac Failure and has held leadership roles across the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and Heart Failure Society of America. She is a widely published investigator, educator, and speaker.

At the center of her work is a simple belief: health is more than the absence of disease. The goal is to help women understand their cardiovascular biology, honor the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and use the best of modern science to live longer, healthier, and more fully.
