Barb is a board licensed clinical social worker, current Clinical Lead of Athlete Support for the Sports Cardiology and Women’s Integrated Sports, Exercise, & Research Centers at Cleveland Clinic and International Olympic Committee Diplomate in Mental Health in Elite Sports. Barb as 25 years of experience in clinical and community-based practice, athletic and sport program development, school-based settings, healthcare, and non-profit leadership. A lifelong, and current rowing athlete, and co-founder of Play Gap, owner of her practice Athlete Help Ohio, Barb prioritizes athlete centered care, fostering safe, healthy, nourishing sport environments that support the performance goals and standards of the athlete. Barb is a recipient of 2024 NCAA Legends and Legacy Community Award, recognized as a leader in athlete welfare, 2022 NASW Ohio Region 3 Outstanding Service to the Profession, and Academic All American (2002).
