Train Smarter, Age Stronger: The Science of Muscle, Midlife & Longevity

Women's Strength & Longevity Expert, Founder, Seli Strength

Ashley Selman, MA, CSCS, has spent more than 30 years as a strength coach, working with elite athletes including Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Brandi Chastain, collegiate programs at Stanford University and the University of Oregon, and individuals at every fitness level. She was named one of the Top 100 Trainers in the U.S. by Men's Journal and founded Evolution Trainers in Mountain View, California, voted the number one health club in Silicon Valley.

After a difficult hip replacement and early menopause, both at the age of 43, Ashley spent years trying to rebuild muscle. She knew exactly what she was doing, and it wasn't working.

Desperate to find a solution, she discovered Blood Flow Restriction training and started using it in her own workouts. She quickly regained muscle and strength that she hadn't felt in over 15 years. In her words: "It was profound. It completely changed how I felt about my future health and now has transformed how I think about training my clients."

Ashley combined her 30 years of programming expertise with her deep knowledge of BFR to build Seli Strength, a virtual BFR Strength program that has now served over 500 women in midlife. She recently developed "Coaching Blood Flow Restriction Training: The Future of Fitness", with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), for fitness professionals who want to bring BFR training to their clients
