Rhonda Voskuhl, M.D., is a Professor of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles(UCLA) and is the Founding Neurologist for the UCLA Comprehensive Menopause Program.She is the Founder of CleopatraRX, a telehealth company that licensed UCLA patents withVoskuhl the Inventor. In the UCLA Neurology Clinic, Dr. Voskuhl sees MS patients as well ashealthy women with cognitive issues of menopause. Her clinical focus is on a tailored estrogentype, dose, and timing to prevent cognitive symptoms during menopause using a blisterpack ofhormones designed for brain protection (PearlPAK). This treatment was repurposed from herclinical trials in women with MS and is now commercially available across the U.S. In Fall of2025, PearlPAK by CleopatraRX was voted the #17 top invention by UCLA in the 21st century.Dr. Voskuhl received the prestigious 8-year R35 Research Program Award in 2023, a NationalInstitutes of Health grant to only 10-15 researchers per year across the U.S. spanning all fields ofneuroscience. This followed over 25 years of grant funding for her clinical and laboratory workat UCLA, with over 200 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Her career wasprofiled in Lancet Neurology in 2024. The Voskuhl laboratory determines the effect of sexhormones and sex chromosomes on the brain to discover neuroprotective treatments. She wasfeatured last year on Oprah’s Prime Time Special, The New York Times, NBC’s The TodayShow, LA Magazine, and ABC7 News. Her recent publication in Science Translational Medicinein October of 2025 identified an X chromosome gene in a brain immune cell (microglia) relatedto susceptibility of women to MS, Alzheimer’s disease, and cognitive issues of menopause. Itwas featured in BBC Science, The Independent, and Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper.
