Feven Getaneh, MD, is an urogynecologist at the Carolyn Rowan Center for Womenâs Health and Wellness and an Associate Professor in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Getaneh specializes in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders as well as minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Getaneh received her Bachelor of Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and earned her medical doctorate from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Getaneh went on to complete her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington,
D.C. She also served as a Clinical Instructor at Georgetown School of Medicine.
Dr. Getaneh is passionate about advancing the field of urogynecology through her research interests. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals regarding outcomes of pelvic floor surgery and the impact of overactive bladder treatments on nighttime urinary symptoms.
