Dr. June Chin is Chief Medical Officer for the New York State Office of Cannabis Management, where she leads Health and Scientific Affairs and oversees research, public health data, clinical education, and safety. In this role, she works across state health agencies to bring scientific evidence into public health practice and regulatory policy. Dr. Chin leads New York’s Center of Excellence for Cannabis Care and Health Equity, a first-in-the-nation initiative uniting academic medical centers, universities, and public health partners across the state to improve clinician education, patient safety, research, and equitable care. She also leads the nation’s first observational cannabis study conducted by a state regulatory agency, examining how CBD and THC may affect symptoms and quality of life among adults with inflammatory bowel disease. A physician with more than two decades of experience in integrative and cannabinoid medicine, Dr. Chin teaches at New York University and Syracuse University. She is the co-author of Cannabis and CBD for Health and Wellness and a nationally recognized voice in cannabis medicine and public health.
