Elizabeth Comen, MD, is a nationally recognized breast oncologist and the Arnhold Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She is Co-Director of the Mignone Women’s Health Collaborative, where she leads cross-disciplinary efforts to advance women’s health through research, education, and clinical innovation across the lifespan. As both a practicing physician and medical historian, Dr. Comen is helping shape a new model for women’s healthcare—one rooted in evidence, equity, and the lived experiences of patients.  Dr. Comen earned her BA in the History of Science from Harvard College and her MD from Harvard Medical School, then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and her fellowship in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.      Dr. Comen is one of the most sought-after voices in women’s health and medicine, regularly appearing on major national networks including CNN, NBC News, ABC, and CBS. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, including a feature on her book and leadership in women’s health, and she has reached millions through an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey and features in Oprah Daily. She has also been recognized as a New York Magazine Top Doctor multiple years in a row.  Her first book, All in Her Head, was a USA Today bestseller and finalist for the 2025 PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award.
