Director of Women's Cardiovascular Center & Professor of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic

Professor Cho is Vice Chair of Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute, Section Head of the Cleveland Clinic’s Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation Center and Director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Women’s Cardiovascular Center at Cleveland Clinic, USA. She graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and went to the University of Washington in Seattle for Internal Medicine residency and Cleveland Clinic for Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowship. She currently Chair of American College of Cardiology Cardiovascular Disease in Women Committee and is a special consultant to the FDA. Her main research interests include hyperlipidemia, Lp(a), sex differences in cardiovascular disease as well as statin intolerance. She is the co-principal investigator for Lp(a) HORIZON study and has been on many steering committees of large clinical trials. She is on the editorial board for Circulation. Professor Cho is an author of numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Circulation and JACC. Professor Cho is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the Society of Angiography and Cardiac Intervention, and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
